We, together with GSPC Gas, hold a 99.9% equity interest in Guj Info Petro Limited (“GIPL”) with the remaining fractional shareholding held by the senior management of the Company.
GIPL was established in 2001 to provide information technology solutions. GIPL’s operations vary from the implementation of information technology projects to consultancy, software development and implementation, data centre applications, internet bandwidth (leased line), co-location of servers, mailing solutions, virtual private network with tunnelling solutions, video conferencing, bandwidth management software, facility management services and internet protocol. It provides a range of network services, such as internet bandwidth and IT consultancy services to its clients in Gujarat, utilising an optical fibre network laid alongside GSPL’s pipeline infrastructure to provide inter-city connectivity. Apart from developing a pipeline management programme for GSPL, GIPL is also involved in software development. GIPL currently holds a category “A” internet service provider license from the Department of Telecom, Government of India for operations across India.
GIPL targets businesses located through Gujarat. Its principal consumers are the various state government departments. Current operations of GIPL include providing information technology related and ERP consultation to certain customers. GIPL also acts as a nodal agency for the Commercial Tax Department, Transport Department, and Forest Department of the GoG. GIPL is also developing a management information system for an international client as part of its first international order.
